Brick built inn, situated at the end of the welford arm of the grand union canal, with a main bar and extensive dining area. popular with barges, locals and tourists, five historic walks can be started from its lanscaped garden and themed events and beer festivals are held throughout the year. Accomodation and wireless internet access are available. Three rotating guest beers often include one from a local micro-brewer

There are 5 countryside walks that start and finish at The Wharf Inn. Display panels provide information about the history of Welford and its canal and provide more detail about features to look for on the walks. Leaflets are also available providing a map of the routes, but all walks overlap each other so you can combine them to suit yourselves.

Please remember to respect the countryside by leaving gates as you find them, keeping to the footpaths and being careful on roads and by water.
